My Approach
I am an integrative therapist which means I combine different theories and techniques I have learnt to form a new practice to support my clients. I am able to draw from different theories to what I believe works best and what suits my clients best. It is the integration of personality and needs of the client in the Counselling room. The main theories I have studied are
-
Person-centred therapy,
-
Cognitive behavioural therapy,
-
Transactional analysis
-
Psychodynamic therapy.
This brings together the emotional, cognitive and behavioural theories within the Counselling, all whilst looking at how we started off in life and the messages we received which influence us to the person we are today.
